Stickmen Land Kyle Starchuk
Before the ball has drawn on opening night the Stickmen
were fast out of the gate to make some key moves for the 2007
season. Continuing on from last year, Surrey made a trade
with Burnaby to acquire Kyle Starchuk from the Laker's Junior
'A' team.

Along with the deal the Stickmen received the
Laker's first and second round draft picks in the inaugural
2007 Midget draft that was held on |
Sunday, February 11th. As well Surrey will also receive one
more player to be determined at a later date.
Last season , Starchuk finished the 2006 regular season with
39 points with a powerhouse Burnaby Lakers team. Kyle has
also played in two Minto Cups, winning in 2005.

Stickmen Pick First Overall
In
Midget Draft
With the first pick overall in the inaugural Junior 'A' Lacrosse
"free agent" Midget draft the Stickmen picked up
goalie Devon Winter from Ridge Meadows.

Devon, considered one of the best 16 year old goal tenders
in the province, started playing his minor lacrosse in Mission.

He finished his minor career playing Midget A1 for Ridge
Meadows. The Stickmen drafted a total of 15 players in the
