Stickmen Hit The Road For
Exhibition Game
The Stickmen Junior 'A' team is going on the road for
their first exhibition game of the season where they will
travel to Victoria to play the Shamrocks.
In what will become an annual event the "Battle for
the Georgia Strait Cup" which will take place this
Monday, April 9th at Juan De Fuca arena.
Last year the Shamrocks swept the Stickmen in a three game
series with Surrey dropping two close games in the first
half of the season.
Veteran players Dane Eitel, John Ballantine and Ross Halliday
will be in the lineup with the Stickmen's big off-season
acquisition, Kyle Starchuck along with many of the new faces
hoping to land a roster spot. Veteran defender, James Cruickshank
along with veteran goalies Cody Lewis and Brandon Smith
hope to put a stop to the Shamrock offense.
The Shamrocks return this year with a new coaching staff
consisting of Head Coach Danny Green (former assistant coach
of the Shamrock Senior A's), Bill Waddell and Tim Craggs.
Leading the team will be their last year's top scorer and
most valuable player Rhys Duch along with assistant captains
James Cadwallader and Joel Loucks.

Intermediate 'A': Surrey
Junior 'A': Surrey (2005-06)
Ross will be a big part of the core veteran that hope to
lead this team back to the prominence of the 2005 championship
team that he was a part of.
After playing his minor lacrosse in Langley, Ross joined
the Stickmen club for two years of Intermediate 'A' ball before
moving up to Junior. With his ability to play transition he
hopes to contribute in a much larger role this year.
When he's not playing lacrosse Ross is a full time student
at UBC where he's studying Biology.

2nd Annual Stickmen
Camp
Dates have now been set for the 2nd Annual
Stickmen Junior 'A' lacrosse camp
for those advanced minor lacrosse players. If you're playing
Bantam, Peewee or Novice lacrosse this year and you're
interested in learning from some Stickmen players then
sign
up today.
