Stickmen Look To Even Up On Coquitlam And Victoria

The Stickmen suffered their first loss of the year against the Coquitlam Adanacs who will visit North Surrey Rec Center this Thursday night to take on the Stickmen.

The Adanacs will bring their speed and agility which memorized the Stickmen defense last time and loaded 12 goals on the scoreboard while holding Surrey to just 4.

If the Stickmen want to pull a win out of this game they will need to shut down top point getters Jordan Weir and Sean Robertson who both were credited for six point nights the last time these teams met.

The Stickmen power play featuring Starchuck, Eitel, Harwood, Dibblee and Hernandez has improved dramatically over the last few games and will sure to make a big impact this time around.

Six Games In And Stickmen Equal Last Year's Output

A new coaching staff, a big off season trade and some fresh, young talent has helped the Stickmen come out of the gates quick with two wins in their first six games.

After 16 players graduated from the league winning 2005 team the Stickmen went through a re-building year last season where they won only two games.

Now the defense, anchored by Cruickshank is starting to come together with the help of new faces like Munn and Bell. The power play has clicked with veteran Eitel, acquisition Starchuk and star rookie Dibblee racking up 9 power play goals in the last two games.

This is a new team with a new attitude and the excitement is building. Catch the Stickmen in action this week as they make a run for the playoffs.
