Stickmen Hope To Play Spoiler Against Lakers

The Burnaby Lakers roll into Surrey tonight as the only team left in the BCJALL that remains undefeated. The Stickmen hope to change that but they will need to shut down the high powered Laker scoring machine in order to do that.

The The last time the Surrey met the Lakers it was for the most part a night that the Stickmen would rather forget. Jamie Lincoln and Dane Dobbie alone combined for eight goals in a lopsided 15-1 rout.

Despite the score it was not all doom and gloom as the Stickmen regrouped after the second period and shut out the Lakers for fifteen minutes of the third before Lincoln scored the only goal of the period.

Surrey defensive players Cruickshank, Johnson and others will have their hands full as Gajic, LeBlanc and Vetere join Lincoln and Dobbie with twenty plus points on the year so far.

BCJALL player of the week Mitch Dibblee hopes to keep the power play hot and with the help of others like Mike King, who notched his first career Junior A goal last weekend, the Stickmen may just pull off a big upset tonight.
