Last Stickmen Home Game
Till June

Tumultuous, frustrating, and disappointing. Just a few words that can be used to explain the Junior teams season so far this season. With some bright new talent and a large crop of players with now their first year of Junior under their belt, the Stickmen crew continue to persevere in search of their first win this year.

Determined as ever the Juniors are looking at tonight's game as the turning point. The schedule has not been nice with the Stickmen playing four of their five games so far against arguably the top four teams in the league. The fifth, Delta, they lost by a single goal despite several last minute shots on net in an attempt to tie things up.

DibbleeThe Islanders come into tonight's game with merely one win in four outings this year. The league leading penalty takers bring their ruff and tough style of lacrosse led by Robbie Campbell and Tobi Paton both with over 20 minutes each in penalty time, hoping to keep pace with Poco and New West in the standings.

The Stickmen have changed up their coaching staff along with game strategies in hopes of getting the team back on track. Winnipeg native Scott Davidson leads the team with 8 points including 5 goals followed up by long time Stickmen Sean Messenger with 7 points.

With several players back in the lineup for the Stickmen and Head Coach Jamie Scott changing players around, it should be a different outcome this time around.

This Stickmen follow up this game with a very long road trip consisting of five games including both Island teams, Coquitlam and back to backs with the Poco Saints.

Tonight's game is a pivot point in the Stickmen schedule and a win could kick start this team to success on the road.

Stickmen Intermediates Surprising League

The South Fraser Stickmen Intermediate team comprised of mostly first year players continue to surprise the league and their critics with some tough, fast and powerful play. After losing their season opener on the road against last years league champion Victoria Shamrocks, the Intermediates rebounded with an easy win over the Burnaby Lakers.

Next up the Stickmen went into Queens Park where they battled hard in the third to try and come back. Despite the loss they produced a very respectable score of 5-7 against last years provincial champion Salmonbellies.

After last seasons dismal record of only one win the Stickmen Intermediates can only improve from this point forward. The Intermediates now have back to back home games starting this weekend against the Shamrocks with a game played at North Surrey Rec Center. They follow up that by hosting the Bellies again this time at M.S.A. arena in Abbotsford.

Game Time: Sunday May 11th - 1:30pm at North Surrey Rec - Surrey
Game Time: Monday May 12th - 8:00pm at M.S.A. arena - Abbotsford
